Collaborative Documentation: A Clinician's Best Friend

1 CE hour offered for PA LSW/LCSW, LPC, LMFT & Psychologists

One of the challenges mental health practitioners often face is the timely completion of required paperwork. Too often, productivity standards and agency expectations preclude or minimize practitioners’ availability to consistently maintain times during the work day for things such as progress notes. This training acknowledges these difficulties and focuses on how Collaborative Documentation can be used to mitigate these issues, support clinicians, increase engagement, and reinforce strengths. Collaborative Documentation will be organized into different styles and participants will be encouraged to reflect on how their personality, experience, training, and the population they work with impact the type of Collaborative Documentation they use.

LO1: Participants will be able to identify at least 3 styles of Collaborative Documentation.

LO2: Participants will be able to identify at least one primary difference between Collaborative and Concurrent Documentation.

LO3: Participants will be able to identify at least 2 benefits of Collaborative Documentation
